Trish Gastineau of Simply Customized Travel is a passionate advocate for the travel industry and ongoing travel professional education. During her 22+ year-long career in travel, she’s experienced first hand the changes that have rocked the industry. But to her, one thing hasn’t changed: the need for travel professionals to continually upgrade their knowledge of cutting-edge travel, business, and marketing concepts. Trish understands that the days of the travel “agent” are over; today, travel professionals must develop business savvy, an entrepreneurial spirit, and in-depth expertise to woo clients in desperate need of travel advice that cuts through the clutter.

Trish been cited in travel industry publications such as Virtuoso Life Magazine, Agent at Home and Travel Pulse, and she’s spoken to scores of travel professionals at industry events, brick-and-mortar agencies, and through supplier webinars. Recently, Trish roused the crowd at the inaugural Book More Travel Workshop in Charlotte, NC, with her panel discussion on how to charge service fees. A customized itinerary expert with a deep passion for Europe, Trish received Avalon Waterways’ Top Selling Specialist of the Year award in 2011. She also holds CTC and MCC certifications, as well as numerous specialty certifications in river cruising and Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
